- Rekognition: It’s innovative Artificial Intelligence service that scans for people in images and videos.
- Guardduty: A managed threat detection service to continually monitor for unauthorized environment activity.
- Secret Region: Amazon claims they are now the only provider that can go all the way from Unclassified to Top Secret in their new Secret Region. This new region is specifically designed for the purpose of allowing users to store and protect data from hackers and other forms of disruptions.

Research Finds 10 Million Public Comments in FCC’s Net Neutrality Vote are Fake.
The FCC Kills Net Neutrality giving internet providers potential control on users internet experience, accessibility and services. Public comments contributed to influence on the topic reaching an all time record breaking 22 million. However nearly half of which is speculated to be comments from hackers and posts from stolen identifies.

Ransomware – the Windows malware program such as Petya, Bad Rabbit and Wannacry; costing companies nearly $1 billion in 2016 in payments from data blackmail, is predicted to continue its rise in the new year. “The malware operates through the perfect business model from a payment perspective,” Jason Sifford of Infonaligy states; “company’s data is stolen, encrypted and forced to pay in order to get it back.”
Targeting victim enterprises through phony updates in the Windows platform; businesses are faced with proactively protecting system networks as a critical business investment in 2018.
Cloud Computing Chaos Ranks as Top Predictions in Cyber Security for 2018
As organizations move in full speed with cloud computing and deploying cloud-based technologies, security threats are on the rise at an equally alarming rate. A recent article published by ESG/ISSA reports 29% of organizations have an acute shortage of cloud security skills.
To alleviate the risk, companies will have to up their game in 2018 and work in step with security providers to build architecture to combat the threats.
